The NuWay Tobacco Company’s Sustainable Approach

The NuWay Tobacco Company recognizes and embraces the importance of sustainability. Our company was founded on the idea of reconstituting tobacco leaf that had slight tears or holes in it, making it unsuitable for hand-rolled cigars.

Our packaging comprises 50% post-consumer waste and is 100% recyclable.

In 2019, The NuWay Tobacco Company invested in a steam project that included two brand-new, energy-efficient boilers.

In 2021, The NuWay Tobacco Company made a monumental leap towards further sustainable manufacturing by investing in state-of-the-art high-capacity solar technology to provide 964 kW of energy, offsetting our electric grid use. In 2024, The NuWay Tobacco Company embarked on another groundbreaking solar energy project, installing additional state-of-the-art high-capacity solar technology totaling 988 kW, furthering our significant leap toward sustainable manufacturing. By harnessing the power of the sun, we’re poised to significantly reduce our reliance on conventional energy sources, thus taking a bold stride toward contributing to a more environmentally green, clean, and healthy planet for future generations.

These monumental initiatives align seamlessly with our vision of responsible, forward-thinking manufacturing and demonstrate our commitment to environmental stewardship and reducing our carbon footprint. It’s a testament to our dedication to innovation and ongoing efforts to integrate sustainable practices into multiple facets of our operations.
